NIGHT IN THE CITY

In “Night in the City,” I explore the nocturnal ambiance of San Francisco, capturing its distinctive character after dark. As night falls, the city takes on a quieter, more subdued tone, where details soften and shapes blur, creating an atmosphere of subtle mystery.

This series highlights the play of light and shadow in the city at night, where familiar landmarks like corner stores and restaurants emit a warm, inviting glow against the cool backdrop of the city streets.

Each painting conveys the serene nature of nighttime in the neighborhoods of San Francisco. Figures within the scenes, often absorbed in their surroundings, serve as points of connection and contemplation, reflecting the city's quiet allure and inviting viewers to share in these intimate moments of solitary reflection.

By stripping away the distractions of daytime hustle, this series invites viewers to appreciate the beauty found in fleeting, quiet moments—where clarity gives way to softness and subtlety under the blanket of night
